Hi Guys! Since my blog is titled "Natural Beauty", I decided to start a new section that can improve your beauty--without makeup, or chemicals. What could that be? Eating Healthy. There are many foods can improve your skin, just as good, if not better than makeup. (without the clogged pores, of course!) So, this is a healthy breakfast loaded with nutrients that your skin will love.
Whole Grains- What if clear, firm, and glowing skin involves throwing out that Angel Hair Spaghetti, or that loaf of White Bread in your pantry? Well, Australian researchers have found that it very well may be the answer. Refined carbohydrates, when eaten, causes your insulin spike and a hormone called androgen is released--which in turn, causes pimples! Whole Grains do not have refined carbs, in fact, whole grains help maintain and balance your insulin levels. And, as you can see I added a little something extra on my Whole Grain toast--herb butter (yes, I made it myself) This is 100% organic butter, with 3 tbs of basil. Basil is very good for your skin. It gives you a fresher, younger appearance. Also, prevents blackheads and helps heal skin infections.
Strawberries- Mm-mm. Strawberries are not only delicious, but also one of the super foods! Strawberries are loaded with Vitamin C. Why is Vitamin C good for you? There are SO many reasons. Vitamin C slows the damage caused my excessive sun exposure, also slows the rate of free radicals--free radicals are unstable molecules that damage collagen and cause skin dryness, fine lines and wrinkles.
Both Strawberries and Whole Grains have dietary fiber, which regulates bowel movements, preventing constipation. Constipation is a known factor of acne-- because your body is not able to rid the toxins in your body.
Coffee (caffeine)- Believe it or not, a little caffeine is actually beneficial to your skin. Caffeine can reduce stress, (stress is also a known factor of acne) reduce puffy eyes and the visibility of cellulite.
