Short Hair, Dont care.Have you ever had to "defend yourself" with that saying "Short hair, don't care!" But, really you do? Well then this post is for you! I absolutely love having long hair. (Even though it is a pain sometimes) It does take time to grow out, but here are some natural remedies that are easy and may speed up the process while keeping your healthy! 1. Onion Juice or Potato Juice (whaaat?) This is smelly, but effective. Onions and potatoes have sulphur, which boosts the production of collagen tissues. Collagen tissues are important because they assist in the re growth of your hair. And no, you can not find these things in the "vegetable juice" isle at Kroger, you will have to make it yourself. First you will need 3 red onions, then you will need to grate the onions and extract the juice. Now, massage it into your scalp. Leave it in for an hour. And of course, wash your hair with shampoo. Unless you just really like smelling like onions. 2. Eggs Your hair is made of mostly protein. Thats why an egg treatment for your hair is so effective! All you need is one egg white, crack it and drain the whites, mix it up and apply it all over your hair and your scalp. I love doing this because after I wash it, I immediately notice a difference. Hair is so much shiny and stronger looking. 3. Apple Cider Vinegar Apple Cider Vinegar has many benefits for your hair. It stimulates hair follicles and also cleanses the scalps and maintains a steady pH balance of the hair which promotes hair growth. Now, for this you have two options that I recommend. One is more of a hair mask. You will need 1 egg white and 3 tbs of the vinegar. Mix them together and rinse/wash after 1 hour. The other option is to use this as a rinse. Pour some on your scalp and massage into the rest, after shampooing but before conditioning. After rinsing and using conditioner, your hair will not smell. 4. The Super Oil- Have you heard of coconut oil? Oh my gosh, if you havent --thats terrible. I will talk about coconut oil some other time, and all its amazing uses, but for now lets talk about using it for hair growth. Warm up four tablespoons of coconut oil in a bowel, and then massage about half into your scalp. The rest, apply to the lengths of your hair. This works best if you do it overnight and wash it out in the morning. (use a shower cap or something so it doesn't get all over your pillows!) How does coconut oil work so well for hair growth? Here are 6 reasons: Coconut oil stimulates hair growth getting deep into its follicles. Coconut oil promotes the scalp health fighting against such problems as insect bites, lice and dandruff. Coconut oil moisturizes dry hair. Coconut oil adds luster, shine and softness to the hair. Coconut oil prevents hair breakage and split ends, contributing to hair length. Coconut oil slows down hair loss. Thanks for reading. Can you guess what my next post is going to be? Coconut Oil and all its benefits! Come back Friday ! Share with everyone! Xoxo, Allie |
