I'm so sorry it has been such a long time since I posted last! I honestly have not been having a good time. We found out my youngest sister may have a type of Galactosemia, and then my other sister was hit by a car (she is alive and very, very well) and a couple days ago BOTH of my cats were found dead. (dead, lying on the sidewalk with ketchup on them!)
Since the Holidays are coming up, your probably goings to have a ton of pictures taken. I wanted to tell you some tips that you can use so that your happy with yourself in pictures!

- Use Matte Products. This means that there is no luminosity, or sparkle, or shimmer. If you use products like that, the camera flash will make you look like an oil spill and not your beautiful self. You definitely want to make sure your foundation is matte, and make sure to use a powder over it. Here is an awesome matte, liquid foundation.
- Apply in Natural Light. Some lights wash out the color of your skin, causing you to apply makeup too heavily or in the wrong shades. I like to sit in front of a window or on the porch while I do my makeup, just so I know what it actually looks like.
- Use a yellow tinted powder, instead of one in your skin shade or translucent. Using those powders may also caused you to look washed out. This is the best yellow tinted powder, of all time.
- Make sure to blend in under eye concealer really well. If you don't, it may reveal lines and look a little awkward.
- Use black eye liner and black mascara. Even if you usually use brown, use black for your photos. The black will give you better contrast and make your eyes stand out.
- Dont skip blush! You always want to add a bit of blush when your getting pictures taken. The heavy flash will make you look sick and pale if there is no color on your cheeks.
- Dont skip lipstick either. If you do, your lips will blend in with the rest of your face. Put on a bold lipstick, or maybe even something nude..it all depends on what your going for!
- Avoid shadows. Try not to create any shadows on your face with make up. Don’t apply dark shadows below the eyes. Also learn how to position your face towards the camera to avoid creating shadows across your face or under your chin.
- Contour with Highlight. You can use bronzer a shade or two darker than your natural color to brush on under your cheekbones, under your chin, along either side of your nose, and the outer corners of your forehead. Apply a lighter color on the areas that light hits. Apply it to the tops of your checks, the center of your forehead, and the bridge of your nose.
- Whiten eyes. Don’t forget to use eye drops to get rid of any red lines in your eyes. Bloodshot eyes can really mess up a good picture. You can also help your eyes look bigger and clearer by using a little white shadow on the inside corners of both eyes. This will make you look bright, awake, and alert in your picture!
